Finalist for ‘Best Intranet’ at the Digital Impact Awards

Finalist at the Digital Impact Awards

Last night we attended the Digital Impact Awards with our client, Principality Building Society at The Brewery, London. Principality were finalists in the ‘Best Intranet’ category using our EasyShare solution.

Last year, our client The Phoenix Group won ‘Best Intranet 2016’ at the award’s, so we’re thrilled to take home another prize this year.

Principality Building Society is connecting over a thousand employees across Wales and the boarders with their new social intranet ‘Cwtch’. Principality’s old intranet was built over 14 years ago. It was run without developer support on unsupported IT infrastructure. The company decided to embark on a journey to transform itself to better serve customers in the digital age.

Principality’s new intranet directly supports their business direction, providing staff in over 70 branches and agencies the tools they need to get more done, and please more customers. Their new intranet, built using EasySharePoint, was launched in 2016 and the staff have embraced the many social and collaboration tools, completely transforming employees’ ways of working.

After considering a number of suppliers and seeking advice, Principality chose EasySharePoint for their new intranet. “The deciding factor was that it enabled us to bring everything under one roof – we could make use of existing licences and easily integrate Yammer and SharePoint team sites that were already in operation” says Emma Price.Principality

The elegant look and feel was in line with Principality’s requirements and the ‘out of the box’ solution meant that no SharePoint developers were required.

On launch day the Cwtch intranet received 935 unique visitors, and 919 colleagues signed up to Yammer – “that was over 90% of our workforce”. The adoption of Cwtch was quick, and beyond their expectations.

Not only has Cwtch brought a new level of connectedness and sense of belonging inside Principality, it has quickly become a trusted hub on information. It has helped improve the service that employees are able to deliver to customers.
